Phantoms of Soul @ Market Stage
The Phantoms of Soul is a group specializing in forgotten Blues Songs from the 1920's thru the 1960's. Sources of material range from singers of the Deep South to the Great Northwest Corner. The leader is Guitarist/Singer/Jazzhornist/Songwriter Jack Cook, who has been performing traditional Blues in the Seattle area for over 30 years. Jack was inducted into the Washington Blues Society Hall of Fame in 2006 and won Best Acoustic for 2007. In 2007 the Phantoms of Soul won Best Traditional Act as well. Other Phantoms include Andrew Larsen on Piano & Vocals, Al Farlow on Clarinet & Saxophones, Steve Branca on Acoustic Bass, Nick Morrison on Drums.

Po'okela Street Band a.k.a "PSB" has been electrifying crowds for the last sixteen years in Seattle. The band started out in the mid 90's in the Pacific Northwest, uniquely fusing Jamaican reggae and Hawaiian Island style rhythms to form a musical style known as "Jawaiian," a musical movement, developed in the early 90's in Hawaii. As the band continued to evolve musically, they now are a high energy pop reggae group that continues to produce a contagious fusion of Top 40, R&B, pop, rock, rap and country with a heavy reggae back beat. Their unique style defies the idea of categorizing them into a single genre of music, giving PSB widespread appeal and capturing an array of musical influences. Scott Cossu @ Market Stage
Scott is an internationally known, composer, pianist and recording artist. He was up front when New Age was just beginning over 30 years ago. He was one of the first Windham Hill Artists to join with founder Will Ackerman and Alex Degrassi, in their new label out of Palo Alto, California. Scott signed onto the label the same day as Michael Hedges and they both joined George Winston who was just new to the label himself. In those early days, Scott toured with his label mates as they forged the way for the many artists that would follow in that genre.
