Healthy Dog Goodies & Treats

As dog people, we realize that dogs are part of the family and we care about their wellbeing, especially their diet, so we created our own food and treats. Commercial dog foods rarely provide enough protein, and protein is the foundation of a carnivore's diet. Protein is necessary for the formation of healthy cells, enzymes, hormones, ligaments, tendons, organs and protective tissue. (Note 1 Dr. Becker’s Real Food for healthy dogs and cats, Simple Homemade food, Fourth Edition, 2017, p14) We have been supplementing our fur babies' diets with protein for years and sharing treats with other families. Many of our treats are suitable for pups with allergies, too. We use veterinarian-approved recipes for our cookies and cakes, and our dehydrated treats are the same protein that we eat, single ingredient without any preservatives. Our cookies are made with rice and oat flour and we steam organ meats for our protein mix to retain vitamins and minerals. Our cakes are made mostly with pureed livers which dogs love!
