Nine stand-alone panels depicting various aspects of life for Japanese Americans on the Eastside between 1898 and the present.
The
Eastside Heritage Center was incorporated in 2001, bringing together
the Bellevue Historical Society and the Marymoor Museum to provide a
venue for the display and interpretation of artifacts from greater King
County. Its goal is to eastablish a state-of-the-art history museum and
center for research and educational programs. The Heritage Center will
provide support for the work of the heritage community by committing
its professional resourcse to the preservation of the community's
history. Nikkei-related materials include: Travelling exhibit on
Japanese American Eastside history; oral histories; informal histories
and programs; recent photographs of Eastside Heritage activites
including members of the Eastside Japanese community.
