Who We are:
Our bakery got its in start in Bellevue in 1993 as a wholesale specialty bakery. We acquired the business in January of 2005 with a goal to expand its presence among Seattle's leading independently owned cafés; you may enjoy our treats at Vivace, Café Alegro, Caffe Senso Unico, Caffe Migliore, Zeitgeist, Bauhaus, Fuel, and Caffe Vita to name a few. In 2008 we opened 2 retail stores in downtown Kirkland and Crossroads Bellevue. We are family owned and the Eastside is where we live. Crossroads Shopping Center has been very supportive of our efforts and we love being part of this community.
Our philosophy is quite simple, if we don't make it, we don't sell it. We produce everything ourselves. All our products are made from scratch using time honored recipes. We never have more than a week's supply of any ingredient, be it butter, flour, or chocolate. We have never used trans fats. Since everything is handmade, products may vary slishtly in weight and appearance from one day to the next. We only produce enough for each night's deliveries and for our locations. At the end of each day all leftovers are carefully packed and handed out to local charities.
We do all this because we enjoy the creative process of transforming a few simple ingredients into the wonderful aromas and delicious taste of fresh baked breads and treats.
In mid 2010 we will open a new & larger store downtown Bellevue (909 Elements) where we'll have an expanded menu, including crêpes, salads, soups, panini sandwiches, and of course our amazing Attibassi espresso line of drinks.
